Open forum for organists and would-be organists

Mon 18 June 2018 at 19:30 Holy Trinity Church, Rayleigh, SS6 8BB

with James Davy and John Rippin

This evening's event is designed to provide help, encouragement and practical hands on advice in an informal atmosphere on many aspects of playing the organ, such as transferring from piano to organ; choosing repertoire; service playing; technical problems; handling the instrument itself; practising; etc, etc. James and John will put you on the right track and provide answers (hopefully!) to all those questions you meant to ask but never have.

Please arrive any time after 7 p.m. for a prompt start at 7.30 p.m. There will be a break for tea/coffee during the evening and we aim to finish about 9.30p.m.

Cost: Adults £7.50 or £9 for non RSCM members. *School pupils £3.

*Those under 18years of age, unless accompanied by an adult responsible for them, must provide an indemnity form signed by a parent or guardian before the event begins.

Holy Trinity Church is at the north end of Rayleigh High Street (A129) at it's junction with Hockley Road (B1013). Enter the Church via the Parish Centre. Parking is available behind the Church, entrance from Rectory Garth, a small turning off Hockley Road. Trains: The church is about 10 minutes walk from Rayleigh Station (Shenfield to Southend Victoria line). Buses: Arriva and First Essex are the main service providers - please check their on line sites. The latter also runs the X30 Stansted-Southend fast hourly service which goes via Chelmsford and Rayleigh (railway station)
